GUITAR STAND - What materials do you use on the stand?
- The guitar stand is made
of birch plywood for the flat parts and pine for the center post.
- Can you add more slots to hold more than one microphone?
- Yes, for an additional $10, we can add capacity for up to 4 total microphones
- Is the stand going to be perfect?
- The stand is not going to be perfect because each stand
is handcrafted. There will be slight inconsistencies. These are not manufactured in a warehouse
therefore there will be slight variations to each completed stand.
- What kind of material is the stand made of?
- Each stand is made of hand selected birch plywood - which is actually quite sturdy. At any big manufacturer
you'd be lucky to get "quality" particle board. In any event, before you start complaining about plywood, have a look at this link.
- Pfffft... I'm
handy with tools, I can duplicate your stand for less money, why would I want to buy yours?
- You may very well be able to do duplicate the stand, but you won't
be able to do it for less. Unless you just happen to have plywood just laying around the house, you'll spend at
the very minimum $37 just for the wood. You'll also have to spend another $10 or so
on hardware. So you've already spent $47 on materials alone, then you'll have to cut (try not to shred
the wood on your crosscut!), route (got a bit? $20), sand (don't forget to pick up some sandpaper $3), paint (oops!
A rattle can of paint will cost you 5 bucks), drill (you have a hole saw, right? $8) and polyurethane (doh, there's another
5 spot) everything yourself. Why do that to yourself, dude? Just buy our stand - we'll even clean up
the sawdust for you!

- How
long will it take for my stand to arrive?
- We ship orders in the order in which they're paid for.
We do offer priority placement of your order (moves you to the head of the line) for an additional $10. Without priority
placement, most orders ship 5-7 days after they're placed, and then take 3-6 days in transit. With priority
placement, your order will be the very next one to go out the door tonight, and arrive take between 3 and 6 days to get
to you.

- What
if I live near Katy, Tx, and would like to save on the shipping and just pick one up? Do you have a "storefront"
with pre-made stands?
- We'd be more than happy to bypass shipping and have you pick one up.
We don't have a storefront with premade stands (they're all boxed for shipping), but you can come to our workshop
(which is in my garage) if you like.
If you'd like to pick one up, email us at dude@dudethingcreations.com for the address and let us know what time you'd like to pick up your stand. We
work in the workshop most Thursdays and Saturdays, but will be happy to sell you a stand any day of the week. In
fact, if you pay in cash or money order, we'll have it assembled for you by the time you arrive, and you'll have a
stand assembled by the designers instead of one you'll have to put together yourself.
- The stand
looks like a high school shop project, I wasted my money, I hate you and I hate everything about you, I threw the stand
in the trash, and will now hire a gypsy to put a hex on you and your family for generations!
- Go get it
out of the trash and send it back to us. Assuming you haven't broken any of the pieces, we will be happy to refund
your money.
